		<description>It's just another way for the big bad corporations to cut costs. Those costs that are cut don't lower the food prices, but go into supermarket shareholder's pockets.

The one thing that supermarkets do provide is cheap food and employment. Let's keep the employment. Sacking people for machines is just going to add to the steadily increasing social divide.

		<description>Well in rural France supermarkets don't open on Sundays and I don't think anyone has starved to death because of it....we are just greedy and spoilt!!</description>

Can I recommend that you shop in independent shops rather than supermarkets.  I avoid them as much as I can.  Luckily I live in Chorlton and I manage to get by without going to any of the supermarkets.  I shop mainly in the Unicorn (www.unicorngrocery.co.uk) - they love their food in there...
